On the joyous occasion of Hefei University of Technology's 80th anniversary, the inaugural meeting of the Hefei University of Technology Alumni Entrepreneurs Association was held on the afternoon of October 6th at the Tunxi Road Campus. Li Ligong, Chairman of China Electronics Corporation, Cao Renxian, Chairman of Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd., Yin Tongyue, Chairman of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., and Zhu Qinglong, Chairman of Hefei Hengda Jianghai Pump Industry Co., Ltd., attended the meeting.
The meeting elected the first council of the Alumni Entrepreneurs Association. Yin Tongyue was elected as the chairman, and Zhu Qinglong, Wei Zhen, and others were elected as vice chairmen. Following the inaugural meeting, a roundtable forum for alumni entrepreneurs was held, where five outstanding alumni entrepreneurs, including Li Ligong, Yin Tongyue, Zhu Qinglong, and Chen Hang, Chairman of Fujian Boshi Software Co., Ltd., shared their insights and experiences.
On October 7th, a grand celebration was held to mark the 80th anniversary of Hefei University of Technology. Liang Yanshun, Secretary of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee, and Xu Aosen, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Minister of Education, attended and delivered speeches. Fei Gaoyun, Member of the Standing Committee of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Hefei Municipal Party Committee, Shan Xiangqian, Member of the Standing Committee of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee and Secretary-General of the Provincial Party Committee, Ren Qinghua, Vice Governor of Anhui Province, and 12 academicians attended the event. Chairman Zhu Qinglong was invited to participate as a representative of alumni enterprises.
For many years, Hefei University of Technology has provided local automakers with technical backbones and management talents thanks to its solid academic foundation. This "city-university symbiotic" relationship is concentrated in a group of alumni who have taken root in Hefei and led the industry: well-known entrepreneurs such as Cao Renxian, chairman of Sungrow Power Supply, Wei Zhen, chairman of Hefei University of Technology High-Tech, and Zhu Qinglong, chairman of Hefei Evergrande Jianghai Pump Industry, all came from here.
