As a flagship international case, the drainage and rehabilitation project at Zambia's Luanshya Copper Mine – one of Africa's top-three copper mines – presented extraordinary challenges. With a shaft depth of 1,200 meters and total drainage volume reaching 170 million cubic meters (equivalent to 13 times the storage capacity of Hangzhou's West Lake), the project represented a monumental undertaking in global mining engineering.

Hengda Jianghai delivered a comprehensive smart drainage solution featuring large-scale intelligent submersible pumps, integrated ZNZK five-in-one intelligent control systems, and a digital twin platform. This adaptive multi-phase flow system successfully overcame unprecedented drainage challenges.

• Cumulative drainage volume surpassing 66 million cubic meters
• Single-pump operation exceeding 7,000 hours
• 570-meter water level reduction across the 130 km² mining area

The project gained national significance when Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema personally initiated the drainage system and conducted multiple site inspections, witnessing what has been acclaimed as a world-class engineering achievement.

Building on the benchmark success of the Luanshya Copper Mine project in Zambia, Hengda Jianghai has reached another milestone in its global expansion. The company has been awarded the emergency drainage and mine rehabilitation contract for the Kamoa Copper Mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo – the world's fourth-largest copper deposit – a decisive victory secured against international competitors through technological superiority and exceptional product quality.

Jointly developed by industry leaders Ivanhoe Mines and Zijin Mining (ranked first globally among gold mining companies), the Kamoa project witnessed Hengda Jianghai achieving a groundbreaking advancement in submersible pump technology. The company set a new global application record with an unprecedented single-unit flow rate of 2,200 m³/h, establishing an innovative Chinese engineering benchmark for worldwide deep-shaft mine flooding recovery and emergency response operations.
